Bedroom Mood Board

I love our bedroom, it’s one of my favorite places in the entire house, it’s where we watch movies and cuddle with our dogs most of the time. This room has a great size and a lot of natural light so when I thought about making a mood board I started designing everything based on a lot of the elements that we already have. More than a makeover is like a little flip with some paint and extra furniture to make it more cohesive and cozy.

I have to admit months ago I started peeling the trim because the paint was coming off and then I stopped. The project was just forgotten and I never finished stripping or painting it. So my room’s entryway looks like all the painting is falling apart. Sad but work comes first so I tried not to be too hard on myself when I don’t have time to do projects around the house.

I want to try lime wash even though I saw an online comment that said this looks like a prison cell. It makes sense but I think with the right decoration, it could look so warm and cozy. If you know me, I love neutrals and I would like this room to be a little moody too! It has great bones and a lot of space, I just want to add more personality to it!

The Essentials For Any Bedroom

As I mentioned before, I am keeping most of the elements in this room, they are great and have worked so far. This is a similar bed (I want to keep my current one), I think these curtains would add a lot of warmth, and these are some similar side tables and a good dresser. And let’s not forget the rug but I had that one a long time ago.

the decor

I want to add this art, a modern lamp, a nice chair, and a new bench. This is not decor, but 2 years ago I found this sheet set on Amazon and I’ve not been the same ever since. I have them in several colors, they are so nice and affordable. God knows I don’t have the means to purchase 3-digit sheets (I wish).
