Dining Room Mood Board
The truth is I’ve been feeling really bad lately, quite sick, with no energy at all. This year is not going how I thought it was going to go. But that’s life. And in the next couple of months, I would love to update my dining room, that’s why I designed a dining room mood board. The room I have right now is good, it’s beautiful but it’s not one hundred percent my style and since we got done with the main fixes of the home (knock on wood) the thing I’ve been trying to do in the last year is tackle esthetic fixes and upgrades. Like paint, decoration or more furniture.
In this mood board, I included more modern items with some rustic details, since we live outside of the city where you can hear the birds and stuff I thought I was a good match for the overall vibe I’m trying with the house. I love some rustic-modern with a lot of neutral tones. A very relaxing and calm space.
I also have a window to fix and a nook that could use some shelves or even an IKEA hack for a built-in. We have been busy with work and other things so our DIY projects have experienced a setback. But hopefully, there are a lot of things that we are going to have done before this year ends. Something similar we did with our guest bathroom, a lot of paint when budget meets cute!
the base
The rug, the table, and the chairs! I read an article ages ago about how to mix and match rugs and I’m dying to try this geometrical rug shape against the vintage one I have in my living room. I also want to do this to the brick wall plus the credenza or some bookshelves where I can put all my stuff.

the decor
I’m thinking of some candles and candle holders with some beautiful curtains. A room really comes to life when you add some greenery with a good vase. These are some finishing touches that will make this space feel cozier and a gallery is always a good decision, you can see some tips on how to style a gallery wall here. I’m not sure I’m changing the light fixture but I added this one, it complements all the other pieces. Let me know in the comments which is your favorite product that would complement or work with your dining room.
