How to Organize your Tools
My husband is lazy sometimes, and he ends up tossing his tools on the workbench most of the time, but it’s a mess when he needs to find stuff. Things always go missing, and as we get older we’ve got a responsibility to be more organized. Let us show you how to organize your tools, like we did. I like to keep everything organized and tidy, so these have helped a lot.
1. A Good Tool Box
The first and most simple thing is just a toolbox. It’s great for hand tools if you’ve just got some laying around and you aren’t the neighborhood mechanic or other tradesman. These really help with the clutter.
2. A Good tool Organizer
As we are redoing our garage, here’s a piece we got to help organize some of my husband’s power tools. He’s got it screwed to our wall, but haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, however it’s solid and looks like it’s going to work really well.
3. Organizer Set
In our garage we’ve also put up plenty of pegboard, and got this organizer set that’s a great deal for what you pay. It’s even got small storage for things like screws, nails, washers etc. etc.
4. Storage Rack
For our bigger yard tools we use something very similar to this storage rack which is great for getting that bigger stuff off the ground and out of the way.
5. Storage container
And then for all that miscellaneous stuff that doesn’t really work with the rest of those organization options we use a storage container like this one. It’s where I keep all my car/motorcycle stuff, plumbing stuff, drywall stuff, and everything else that needs a place. Very handy.
